Do you think you (or a loved one, friend, or client) might be asexual or aromantic? If so, welcome – we’re happy to have you! We encourage you to do the following to educate yourself and meet more asexual and aromantic people:
- Check out our 101 resources here.
- See if there’s a local aspec group in your area through https://acesandaros.org/groups/. If not, you can think about contacting your local LGBTQ+ or queer center, as they may have ace and aro-specific groups or programming. Right now, most in-person groups are hosting virtual meetups, so you don’t even have to be local to join.
- You can learn more about ace community issues and topics through the Carnival of Aces here: https://asexualagenda.wordpress.com/a-carnival-of-aces-masterpost/, and you can volunteer to host a month if you have a topic in mind.
- You can learn more about aro community issues and topics through the Carnival of Aros here: https://carnivalofaros.wordpress.com/, and you can volunteer to host a month if you have a topic in mind.
- Note: the wordpress is currently not being updated, but the Carnival has continued through the dedication of the community. The most recent roundup (as of the posting of this page) is from April 2021, here.
- You can join many different Discord servers, including the TAAAP Pride Chats, which also includes other resources and links as well.
- You can check out a number of different books and authors. All of these, and more, are available from our Bookshop.org storefront!
